Meet the Chef - Vladimir Siljegovic
French-born Chef Vlad has an impeccable culinary background, having developed his love of cooking at two of the most famous restaurants in Paris (both owned by his family), the esteemed Café de Flore in St Germain de Pres, and Closerie des Lilas in Montparnasse.
At TEMBO, working closely with suppliers of ethical, top-quality products, he creates dishes that showcase the skills he has acquired on his travels from West to East, using the abundance of fresh seafood, fish, fruits, vegetables, herbs and spices available in Samui.
Tembo Beachside Dining
Our signature restaurant is chic and casual with a mellow laid-back vibe, comfy plantation-style chairs and plenty of overhead fans to keep cool..
Here, guests are taken on an exciting culinary journey that champions bold, colourful bites as well as subtle, delicate flavours…. a creative spin on vibrant cuisine using top class produce – fresh fish caught locally the same morning, jet-fresh oysters, premium-grade meat cuts and organic, free-range eggs.
Vegetables are also a key element of TEMBO cuisine. Choose from a colourful selection of vegetarian and plant-based vegan dishes.
To complement your meal, a reasonably priced, customized selection of reds, whites and rosés from around the world offers plenty of affordable vino options.
Poolside at Tembo
Whether you are a rosé-sipping devotee, appreciate seriously good cocktails, a G&T aficionado or simply fancy an ice-cold beer, your favourite tipple is waiting at the
plantation-style bar, with softly humming ceiling fans and elegant, colonial-style décor, making it the perfect retreat from the hot sun. Order tapas, a variety of afternoon teas, cocktails infused with the holiday spirit, an ice-cold beer, a Moroccan mint tea, a delicate Earl Grey or a great coffee, hot or cold, your choice.
Terrace & Cabanas
Sun worshippers can chill out on one of the poolside sunbeds or lounge around on a colourful beachside cabana. Beach eats are available throughout the resort, from 8:00am – 10pm.
Get that ‘sand in your toes’ feeling by relaxing on a beach sunbed whilst listening to the sound of the waves. Drinks and snacks are served beachside throughout the day.
Deli and Café d’Art
TEMBO Deli offers a celebration of delectable international and local products, from freshly made sandwiches and salads to home-made breads, cakes, pastries, charcuterie and cheeses, and a whole range of delicious treats you never knew you loved and needed!
Picnics and boating hampers are made to order. Simply tell us your favourite things and we will do the rest, preparing you a take-away treat fit for royalty.
In celebration of our owner’s journey before arriving in Koh Samui in 2015, this small, intimate restaurant, with a fully equipped show kitchen, is designed to take diners on a culinary journey like no other.
We will invite chefs from around the world – each with his/her own outstanding skills – to share their expertise with our guests and, at the same time, elevate the knowledge and skills of our own Tembo chefs.
